Late last night we returned from Fort Morgan, Alabama, after a lovely few days spent with Michael’s best friend Rachel and her family. We had gorgeous weather, surprise morning air shows from the Blue Angels, plenty of good food, and really excellent company. Part of that company was Lydia, Rachel and John’s daughter, who diligently practiced walking every day and delighted us all with her baby charms. Our little section of the Gulf, protected by a sand bar about fifty yards from the beach, was perfect for swimming, and Michael and I probably spent more time in the sand in three days than we have over our last few beach trips combined. And I managed not to get sunburn! Michael is a little pink in some places, though.
